The Little Sisters of the Assumption in Ireland recently invited the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (NBSCCCI) to carry out an audit of our policy and procedures in relation to safeguarding children. We welcome the report of the NBSCCCI which is published today, December 4th 2015( littlesistersoftheassumption.org/safeguarding )

We, Little Sisters of the Assumption (LSA Ireland) are committed to a policy that cherishes and affirms each child as a gift from God with an inherent right to dignity of life and bodily integrity which shall be respected and nurtured, protecting them from emotional, physical and sexual harm or neglect.

We accept that we have an obligation to ensure that children’s rights are respected whenever they are in the company of the Sisters (LSA), staff or volunteers at project premises, LSA premises or in their own homes and that every possible measure is taken to protect them from suffering any form of abuse.

We are committed to adhering to the Standards and Guidelines of the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland as well as to the Law of the Land.

Welcome to our new website!

It is a means of explaining who we are, where we are, and what is important to us.

We can share news and use it to keep up to date with what is happening in the territory and congregation.

It is at an early stage, more content and links will be added soon.
