We are a group of sisters living in 21 communities in the Anglo-Celtic Province. Our vision is to bring about the Kingdom of God through simple acts of service.
In 1865 Fr. Etienne Pernet together with Antoinette Fage founded the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Assumption. Their mission was to ‘nurse the sick poor in their own homes’, to be with them in times of need, worries, sickness and family upset and through simple acts of service alleviate suffering.

The Little Sisters of the Assumption are called to be both prophets and prayerful sisters in today’s world. Following Jesus Christ Servant and Saviour we are sent to the poor and those on the margins of society “may your actions speak Jesus Christ”
Justice and Peace are at the heart of the mission of the Little Sisters of the Assumption. Faced with the dire poverty of the workers’ families in the 19th century, our Founders, Etienne Pernet and Antoinette Fage, had the courage to offer a response based on Gospel values.
We are a group of lay people assisting the Little Sisters of the Assumption with their work for the poor of Latin America. Our Vision is to assist our brothers and sisters in Latin America attain a life free from all forms of poverty, inequality and injustice.
Our religious life as Little Sisters of the Assumption is based on Jesus Christ. From Augustinian spirituality we take the model of community as a place of friendship, encouragement and support where God is sought.
